Did you know that 79% of consumers trust online reviews as much as a personal referral?
Ratings and reviews are a huge conversion factor, and with 85% of consumers seeking online reviews before making a purchase, having great reviews is more influential than ever. So now that you know reviews are important, how do you get your company setup properly? I’ll give you tips and tricks in future posts, but for now lets just focus on the basics – setup.
I have nothing against Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter in fact, these sites can play an awesome role in marketing your business, but as a foundation I would focus your efforts on the big 3 to start: Google+ (feed data to Google Maps), Yelp & Facebook.
Let’s start with Google+ by simply clicking here to go to Google My Business’ setup page. They’ll walk you step by step from creating a Google Account or linking your Business with your existing personal gmail account. From there Google will determine whether you need to create a new business listing or claim a business listing that they’ve already added to Google.
Yelp for Business
Next we head over to Yelp. What you might not realize right off the bat is that there is actually a Yelp for Business Owners. You can find that page here, and it allows you to create your business’ profile, add pictures, history and most importantly – reviews!!
Facebook for Business
And last but obviously not least, we have Facebook for Business. Reviews meet Social Media! To create a Facebook Business Page click here and click Create Page! “Now we’re cooking with Peanut Oil!” – Thanks Phil. It’s not a solid blog post unless you’ve got a Duck Dynasty reference.
